The Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) is presenting a two day conference at the end of February dedicated to previsualization and virtual production – two innovative processes that are changing the face of film and TV production.
Previsualization is a major force in screen-based industries, and SIRT is at the forefront of building knowledge and capacity around this process. The studio and post-production facility, located at Pinewood Toronto Studios, is intended as a collaborative workspace for new production and post-production technologies within the film, television, gaming, and interactive industries.
As such, the centre is bringing to the conference a number of the leaders in previs including, Ron Frankel, Founder of Proof Inc. (The Green Hornet, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse); and Brian Pohl, Co-Founder of POV Previs (Star Trek, Star Wars: Episode I and II). Both are featured in the video above.
The conference is a must-attend for directors, animators, designers, cinematographers, effects artists, producers and others anxious to enhance their storytelling skills. For a complete list of speakers and full conference agenda, visit http://www.sirtcentre.com/conferencesched.html.
