Quote of the Week: Siblings

by Julie on August 15, 2008

Couldn’t resist this one. I actually met Mr. Ciccone (albeit briefly) during the filming of Truth or Dare. At the time I was working for Concert Productions International (yes, it was the infamous Toronto show) and brother Chris was doing interviews with Flare and a couple of other publications…

“I gave up 15 years of my life to help make you the evil queen you are today … 15 years listening to your bitching egotistical rantings, mediocre talent, and a lack of taste that would stun the ages.” - Christopher Ciccone.

GRL (Graffiti Research Lab) has posted a video of Evan Roth and Katsu’s visit to Toronto as part of Pixel Gallery’s Speaker Series at FITC Toronto 2008.

GRL is an arts group dedicated to outfitting graffiti writers, artists and protesters with open source technologies for urban communication. The group is well-known for inventing LED Throwies and creating giant-sized L.A.S.E.R. tagging systems, which were put to use in Toronto tagging the CN Tower and City Hall.

Video: Tori & Dean

by Julie on August 9, 2008

A kinda’ cute video from the really, really obnoxious Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. A steal from Perez Hilton who is much more insightful than I am about these sorts of things.

“Mobster Vincent Gigante wore pajamas on the street to try to convince people (mainly the Feds) that he was insane; what’s Julian Schnabel’s excuse?” - mjcarter

Client: Fairmont Royal York

by Julie on July 9, 2008

We recently completed a Weblog and podcast for The Fairmont Royal York Hotel. The Radio York York podcast, hosted by the hotel’s own Melanie Coates, will be a monthly feature that can be accessed via the Fairmont’s site, the Radio Royal York Weblog, or via iTunes.

The inagural podcast, Urban Bee-Havior, was linked to the arrival of three bee hives on the rooftop of the downtown hotel and a bee-oriented getaway package “B&B & BEE.”

Read more about the Fairmont’s eco-branding initiatives and the GreenHAT Digital’s buzz-generating podcast in the July 8th issue of Media in Canada.
